Q. Why is Nethra Umbrella Special?
A. Your Nethra Umbrella is assembled by a person with who is visually impaired, stitched and quality checked by orthopaedically challenged persons and persons with speech and hearing impairment, eventually packed and logistically supported by persons with intellectual disabilities. All this, while being a sturdy and a durable product that is export quality and world class.
Q. Is there any delivery charge?
A. No. There are no additional delivery charges. We deliver even 1 umbrella to any corner of India, at our own cost. Please note that, if a customer wishes to exchange an umbrella after delivery, then the price difference and delivery charges (to and fro) will be borne by the customer.
Q. Are Nethra Umbrellas Durable?
A. Yes. With proper care, any Nethra Umbrella that you purchase will last a minimum 3-5 years and even beyond. We have customers, who have not returned to buy from 2018, when we launched Nethra Umbrellas, as their Nethra Umbrella is still going strong. Although they do visit our center every year as a goodwill gesture and at times as brand ambassadors, bring along some new visitors and customers.
Q. How can I increase the usable life of my Nethra Umbrella?
A. Always close and fold the umbrella after drying. Ensure that you never fold and keep the umbrellas for a long time when it is wet, which is what happens during travel. As soon as you get an opportunity, keep it open and dry it properly. That’s it.
Q. What if I am delivered a broken Umbrella? Is there a return policy?
A. It is possible that during transit, the package is handled roughly. In such a case, if it is a minor damage that can get repaired by a local umbrella repair person, you may do that. If it is badly damaged during transit, we have a 7 day return policy from the date of delivery at our own cost.
Q. What if my Nethra Umbrella Breaks after 7 days?
A. We ensure that the material we use to build Nethra Umbrellas is the best in class. Having stated this, we do acknowledge that, it is an assembled hand product and due to rough use or being kept under heavy weights, Nethra umbrellas can break. In such case, if you are in Mumbai, and if it is possible for you to visit our center, we can always replace umbrella parts for free except the canopy(fabric). For major damages caused by rough use over a period of time, we charge a very nominal fee. If you are not based in Mumbai, you may need to get it repaired with a local umbrella repair person.
Q. Can I bring the umbrella to your workshop for repairs?
A. Yes. Most definitely. Also, we offer free repair services in case of minor repairs for lifetime.
Q. Can I use Nethra Umbrella during Summer?
A. Yes. Most definitely. Any Nethra Umbrella is an all-season product. Nethra umbrellas have UV protection and with the silver undercoat, it is very useful during hot summer and winter afternoons.
Q. When can I Expect Nethra Umbrella if I order today?
A. Usually, on confirmation of your order, we ship the umbrellas in 2-3 working days. Once the umbrella leaves our premises, you get updates on the Estimated Time of Delivery with tracking details.
Q. Do the purchases support a social cause?
A. Yes. It does. Each purchase supports the employment of Person with Disabilities under the Nethra Umbrella initiative launched by The National Association of Disabled’s Enterprises.
Q. Where all do you ship?
A. We deliver Nethra Umbrellas all across India in over 27000 pin codes. In case, a private courier company is not able to deliver to remote corners of India, we use India Post, but delivery is ensured.
Q. Are there any further discounts on bulk orders?
A. Yes, we offer bulk discounts for orders above 10 dozen and 100 dozen. Contact us and we can discuss your requirement.
Q. Can I visit your facility or get more details before placing a bulk order?
A. You can visit our center from Monday to Saturday between 9:30am and 5:30pm. We are closed on Sundays and certain notified public holidays.
Q. Do you offer customisation on Nethra Umbrella?
A. Yes, we do. We have a screen-printing unit of our own. We charge as less as ₹5 per impression.
Q. How much quantity is needed to be ordered for customisation?
A. We advise a minimum of 10 dozen to keep the printing cost effective. Although, we have customised orders for smaller quantities.
Q. What kind of customisation do you offer?
A. We generally print logos on the outer or the inner surface of an umbrella. As it is screen printing on a ready-made umbrella, the logo or the intended design to be printed, is printed in single or maximum dual colours depending on the design. Contact us for more information.
